Description
Ranma Saotome's girl form in the Ranma ½ OAV series is not a separate person or an alternate identity, but a physical transformation that overtakes Ranma, a teenage boy and heir to the Saotome branch of Anything-Goes Martial Arts, whenever he is splashed with cold water. The condition originates from a training accident in China, where Ranma fell into the cursed Spring of Drowned Girl at the Jusenkyo training ground. From that point on, contact with cold water instantly turns him into a girl, while hot water returns him to his natural male body.
