Irma Carmona is a Mexican voice actress with a career spanning over four decades, renowned for her work in anime dubbing for Latin American Spanish. She was born Irma Carmona Zárate on November 28, 1960, in Mexico City. She began her artistic career in theater after studying at the Instituto Andrés Soler before transitioning to voice acting at the age of twenty. Her first role in anime was as Yin-Yin in the series Las aventuras de Gigi.

Carmona's career is marked by several iconic and long-running roles. She is widely recognized as the voice of Michiru Kaioh / Sailor Neptune in the Sailor Moon franchise, a role she has played across multiple productions for over two decades. This includes the classic Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars series, as well as the films associated with them. She later reprised the role for the new adaptations, including Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III and the films Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos. Another of her most celebrated performances is the female version of the protagonist Ranma Saotome in the classic Ranma ½ anime series and its OVAs.

Her extensive filmography includes a wide variety of other significant anime roles. She voiced Lala in the Ojamajo Doremi series, Natsuko "Natchan" Aki in Re: Cutie Honey, and Yoshiko Hanamura in both the 1966 and 1989 versions of Mahōtsukai Sally. She also lent her voice to Levy McGarden in the first season of Fairy Tail, Wanda Shinohara in El anillo mágico (Revolutionary Girl Utena), Lady Shoryuki in Mikami, la cazafantasmas (Ghost Sweeper Mikami), and various characters in the Digimon franchise, including Satoe Tachikawa in Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02.

Carmona took a ten-year hiatus from voice acting beginning in 2004, after which she returned to the profession in 2014, taking on roles more selectively.
