Iman Nazemzadeh is an Iranian-American actor and voice actor born in Tehran, Iran on February 19, 1981, and later based in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career in film, television, and voiceover work. Early in his time in Los Angeles, he performed on stage in productions including The Importance of Being Earnest, Tartuffe, and An Inspector Calls. For a significant portion of his career, he worked under the professional name Ethan Rains before returning to his birth name, Iman Nazemzadeh.

Within the anime voice acting industry, Nazemzadeh contributed to several prominent English dubbed productions. He voiced the character Kogu in the film Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound. In the series Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, he voiced both Asato Kido and the character Hanayo. His work in the Dragon Ball franchise also included voicing Son Para in Dragon Ball GT and a Bully in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy, along with an Injured Cultist in an episode of the Dragon Ball GT television series. Additionally, he performed multiple voice roles in the series Kiddy Grade, where he voiced characters including a Blonde Nouvlesse, Caune Security Guard, Dardanos Secret Service Agent, GOTT Security Guard, Rescue Squad Captain, Smuggler, and an Ubu Waiter. In video games, he provided additional voices for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Beyond voice acting, Nazemzadeh has maintained an extensive career in live-action television and film. He appeared in television series such as 24, CSI: Miami, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Hawai'i, The Closer, Judging Amy, The Unit, E-Ring, and The Young and the Restless. He is known for his portrayal of Dr. Leo Julian on the second season of General Hospital: Night Shift, a role initially played by his brother, actor Dominic Rains. His film credits include Sin City, Open Graves, The 15:17 to Paris, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where he appeared as a lead EMT under the name Ethan Rains. He has also worked as a filmmaker, writing and directing short films including Still Here and A Song for Gracie, and has taught acting on film at the Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles.
