Russi Taylor was an American voice actress known for her extensive work in animation, including several roles in English-language dubs of Japanese anime. While she was most famous for providing the voice of Minnie Mouse for Disney from 1986 until her passing in 2019, her career also included significant contributions to the anime industry, specifically in the dubbing of projects for the English-speaking market.

One of Taylor's notable anime roles was in the series "Shin Chan," the English adaptation of the popular Japanese anime "Crayon Shin-chan." In the Vitello dub of the series, she voiced multiple characters, including Daisy Nohara, the mother of the titular character Shinnosuke, as well as the character Max and Shin's Grandmother, Tsuru Nohara. Her participation in this project showcased her ability to bring a range of personalities to life, from maternal figures to elderly characters.

In addition to her work on "Shin Chan," Taylor contributed her voice to another animated film from Japan. She provided the English voice for the character Otama in Disney's re-dubbing of the Studio Ghibli film "Pom Poko," which was released in North America in the mid-1990s.
