Georges Lycan was a French actor born on May 8, 1924, in Francueil, France, who passed away on February 6, 2006, in Paris at the age of eighty-one. He was active primarily as a voice actor and became widely recognized for his extensive work in the French dub of the Dragon Ball Z anime franchise.

Lycan's voice became a familiar presence to French audiences through the Dragon Ball Z series, where he held the role of the narrator for a significant portion of the show. Beyond narration, he provided the French voices for a diverse array of characters, including the villainous Cell and the captain of the Ginyu Force, Ginyu. His film work within the franchise includes voicing the title character Slug in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, as well as roles such as Ten Shin Han, Dr. Gero, Tao Pai Pai, and the Eternal Dragon Shenron across numerous Dragon Ball Z films.

Outside of the Dragon Ball universe, Lycan's voice acting career included work on other animated series. He was the second voice for Commandant Joseph Walsh in the American-Japanese series The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. His other animation credits from the 1980s and 1990s include roles in series such as Cobra, Peter Pan and the Pirates, G.I. Joe, and WildC.A.T.S. In addition to animation, his work encompassed dubbing for live-action television series, including the German crime drama A Case for Two.
