Jonathan Holmes is a British-born Canadian actor known for his work in voice acting for anime, video games, and animated features, as well as for live-action television and film roles. He was born in 1969 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, and later relocated to Canada, eventually basing his career in Vancouver, British Columbia, a major production hub often referred to as Hollywood North.

Holmes has an extensive list of anime credits to his name, having voiced characters in several prominent series and films. He is known for playing the role of PM Vanguard in the series Danbōru Senki W. In the feature film InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler, he provided the English voice for the character Takemaru. Within the Gundam franchise, he voiced Arthur Trine in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, as well as Marco Morassim in the original Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. His other notable anime roles include ShadowMan and Famous in MegaMan NT Warrior and its sequel series Rockman.EXE Axess, Chaka in Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage, and a Wolf Demon in the main InuYasha television series. He also performed voice work for English dubs of Galaxy Angel A and Master Keaton.

Beyond his anime work, Holmes has a broad career in animation and voiceover. He has voiced characters in numerous Barbie animated films, including Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2, Barbie: The Princess & the Popstar, Barbie and the Secret Door, and Barbie: Spy Squad. In the realm of comic book adaptations, he voiced the character Fandral in the animated film Hulk Vs. He also had a recurring voice role as the elf Runaan and Councilman Saleer in the Netflix fantasy series The Dragon Prince. His work in live-action includes a recurring role as Mr. William Barry in the series Anne with an E and appearances in shows such as Stargate SG-1, The 4400, and Almost Human.

Holmes has also appeared in major feature films, most notably as the motion capture performer for the Childchewer in Steven Spielbergs The BFG.
