Gaye Kruger

Description
Gaye Kruger, born Gaye Rescher on April 17, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, is a former American actress and voice actress. She is also known as Gaye Kruger Ribble. Her career in entertainment was preceded by a notable family legacy in the arts, as she was the daughter of cinematographer Gayne Rescher and Broadway actress Ottilie Kruger, and the granddaughter of actor Otto Kruger.

Before her foray into voice acting, Kruger was primarily known for her extensive work on the stage. She originated the role of Kelly Moran in the musical "The Great American Backstage Musical" in 1975 and performed in over forty musicals across the country. Her stage work earned her a Los Angeles Theater Award in 1983 for Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Drama for her role in "Hedda Gabler". In addition to theater, she appeared in numerous television series such as "Eight is Enough" and "Police Story," as well as films including "Mr. Mom" and "The Scarlett O'Hara War." She was also featured in over one hundred television commercials during the 1970s.

Within the realm of anime, Gaye Kruger is recognized for a single, specific contribution. She provided the English voice for the character Makie in the Streamline Pictures dub of the 1987 supernatural horror OVA film "Wicked City," directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri. This English dub was released in North America in 1993, and this performance remains her only known credit as a voice actress. Her role as Makie stands as the singular entry in her anime and voice acting filmography.

After a career in acting that spanned stage and screen, Gaye Kruger has effectively retired from the entertainment industry. She now works with her husband, Dave Ribble, in a marketing consultancy business called StandOut Marketing Strategies, focusing on providing business and marketing strategies to clients.
