Umeji Sasaki is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on March 6, 1945, in Oketo, Hokkaido. He is a graduate of Ritsumeikan University's College of Business Administration and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1973. Sasaki is affiliated with the theatre company Gekidan Mingei. His career encompasses a wide range of roles in television animation, theatrical animation, and dubbing for foreign films.

Sasaki's voice acting work in anime includes a variety of supporting characters across numerous series. In the 2019 anime adaptation of Blade of the Immortal, he provided the voice for the character Kashinkoji, also known as Mizushina, appearing in four episodes. He was also part of the cast for the original net animation Japan Sinks: 2020, where he voiced the character Kunio Ashida, a role that was announced alongside other new cast members prior to the series' premiere in July 2020. This role was also listed as Kunio Hikita in some sources.

Beyond these roles, Sasaki has built an extensive filmography over several decades. His television animation credits include appearances in series such as Eat-Man, Arc the Lad, Kiba, Claymore, Golgo 13, Monster, and Ronja, the Robber's Daughter. He has also voiced characters in theatrical anime, including the film Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom.

A significant portion of Sasaki's career is dedicated to voice-over work, providing the Japanese dubbing voices for numerous actors in foreign films and television series. Some of his notable dubbing roles include Logan Roy in the series Succession, Francisco Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun, Father Vito Cornelius in The Fifth Element, and characters in films such as Jaws, Scarface, and The Godfather.
