Vanilla Yamazaki is a Japanese voice actress, actress, film narrator, and choreographer. She was born on January 15, 1978, in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Her career began in the early 2000s, with one of her first notable roles being Chorori in the 2001 television series Shiawase Apartment's Okojo-san. In 2004, she appeared in the anime Moon Phase, voicing the character Heidi. The following year, she was part of the cast for the series Pani Poni Dash! and began her long-running association with the Doraemon franchise, taking on the role of Jaiko Goda, also known as胖妹, in the 2005 television series.

Yamazaki has built a diverse portfolio of voice work across various anime series and films. She provided the voice for Luca in the 2005 anime series IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix. She voiced the character Aomaki in the 2016 animated short film Colorful Ninja Iromaki, which was produced as part of the Anime Tamago project. A significant and recurring role for her was as the narrator for all episodes of the Kamisama Kiss series, which began in 2012. Her film work includes voicing Kin in the 2014 feature Yo-kai Watch: It's the Secret of Birth, Meow!. She also voiced Pochirou in the series Pochitto Hatsumei: Pikachin-Kit, which aired from 2018. Her filmography also includes roles in the Chihayafuru series as a reader and in Stand by Me Doraemon 2 as Jaiko.

Throughout her career, Vanilla Yamazaki has collaborated with various directors and fellow voice actors on multiple projects. She has worked under sound director Masafumi Mima on productions such as IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix and the Yo-kai Watch film. Her frequent co-stars include Tomokazu Seki, Yui Horie, Aya Endo, and Masahito Yabe, among others.

Beyond her voice acting work, Yamazaki is known for her versatility as a performer. She is also active as a film narrator and a choreographer. In recognition of her career and ties to the region, she was appointed as a tourism ambassador for the city of Shiroishi in Miyagi Prefecture.
