Kaufmann is known for providing the German voice for several prominent anime characters. He voiced Lee Chaolan in the anime adaptation Tekken: The Motion Picture and Hideki Motosuwa in Chobits. In the Fate franchise, he performed the role of Gilgamesh in the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works movie.
