Masamichi Satō

Masamichi Satō is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator born on January 8, 1961 in Tokyo. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with several talent management agencies, including Bungakuza and Osawa Jimusho, and is currently represented by Kakehi Production.
Satō began his voice acting career in the mid-1980s. He voiced Keiichirō Yamagishi in the 1986 anime Tobira o Akete. In 1987, he voiced Portos in the series Anime Sanjushi, an adaptation of The Three Musketeers, a role he would reprise in subsequent related works including the 1989 film Anime Sanjushi: Aramis no Bōken and the series Tekkamen o Oue - D'Artagnan Monogatari yori. His early filmography also includes the role of Kyōsuke Daimon in the 1987 series Aitsu to Lullaby: Suiyobi no Cinderella and Damian in the 1985 series Ninja Senshi Tobikage.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Satō built an extensive portfolio of voice work across anime, films, and OVAs. He voiced Nagata in Midoriyama Kōkō Kōshien-hen, also known by its short title F. His notable roles from this period include the driver in the 1995 film Ghost in the Shell, Cesario in The Vision of Escaflowne from 1996, Dallas in Cybuster from 1999, Professor Yamato in Flint the Time Detective from 1998, Cross in Amazing Nurse Nanako from 1999, and Hideo Shiina in Figure 17 from 2001. In 2001, he voiced a young Genya Tachibana in the acclaimed film Millennium Actress. His later work includes the role of Sōichirō Mishima in the 2008 series Kemeko Deluxe, also known as Steel Bride. He also contributed to long-running series such as Case Closed, where he voiced several characters across different episodes including, as shown in a key example, the role of Kyōsuke Daimon for the series Aitsu to Lullaby: Suiyobi no Cinderella, which further reflects his extensive work in the industry.
