Maeghan Albach, also known as Maeghan Duffy Albach, was an American voice actress and performer known for her work on English-language dubs of Japanese anime series. Born Maeghan Duffy Brock on May 21, 1974 in San Antonio, Texas, she began her voice acting career in the early 2000s and worked extensively with Funimation Productions for over a decade.
Before pursuing voice acting, Albach trained as a dancer, studying ballet at Fort Worth Country Day School, the Margot Dean School of Dance, Texas Christian University (TCU), and the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. She also studied acting at TCU and the Four Day Weekend School of improvisation, and performed in live theatrical productions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Her on-screen work included a starring role in the 2009 film Fire From Below.
Albach's voice acting portfolio included a wide range of supporting and guest roles across numerous anime series. Among her notable credits were the role of Saki in Mushi-Shi, as well as appearances in major titles such as Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Fairy Tail. She provided voices for Ouran High School Host Club, One Piece, Shin Chan, and Black Cat, among many others. Additional roles included Kasumi Aono in Rosario to Vampire, Hinako Shizaki in Date A Live, Mao in Jyu Oh Sei, and Takeuchi in Baka to Test to Shokanjuu. She also contributed to Evangelion films including Evangelion: 1.0 – You Are (Not) Alone and Evangelion: 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, as well as the film Summer Wars.
Albach passed away on January 22, 2019 at the age of 44. Her death was confirmed by Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard, Texas, where her family remembered her as a free-spirited individual. Her voice work remains part of the English-language anime catalog from the 2000s and 2010s.
