Sandra Krasa

Description
Sandra Krasa is an American entrepreneur, producer, and voice director best known for her work with ADV Films on English-language adaptations of anime series and movies. While her career in the anime industry has been extensive, her on-screen voice acting roles are limited in number. Her most prominent and defining voice role is that of Layla Hamilton in the series Kaleido Star, including the OVA titled Kaleido Star: New Wings Extra Stage. Beyond this lead performance, her other voice credits are more minor, including the role of Adjutant in All Purpose Cultural Cat-Girl Nuku Nuku Dash! and the Narrator in Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat.

While the breadth of her voice acting is narrow, Krasa has made significant contributions to the anime industry as a voice director. Her credits in this capacity are extensive and include many well-known titles. She served as a voice director for series such as Blue Seed, Slazers (including all movies and the Excellent OVA), Azumanga Daioh, Maburaho, and Kaleido Star itself. Her directing work also extends to children's animation, including Hello Kittys Animation Theater and the English adaptation of the German childrens film Lauras Christmas Star. In her role at ADV Films, she was responsible for guiding the English voice performances for numerous anime productions.

Beyond her creative work in dubbing, Krasa has a diverse professional background. She has worked as a documentary filmmaker, with her film Ocoee: Legacy of the Election Day Massacre winning the HBO Award at the 2002 Urban World Film Festival. She has also been an entrepreneur, founding several businesses, and has worked as a professor teaching public relations and social media. This multifaceted career demonstrates that her time as a working anime voice actor, while producing a memorable and acclaimed performance as Layla Hamilton, represents just one facet of a broader professional life focused on production, direction, and entrepreneurship.
