Schnur's career in anime voice acting included two prominent roles in the early 2000s. He voiced Matagu Shidoh in the English dub of the romantic comedy-drama series Please Teacher! and its related series Please Twins!. He also provided the voice for the main protagonist Akira Yuki in the English adaptation of the Virtua Fighter anime series, a role that brought him recognition among fighting game and anime enthusiasts. Akira Yuki is the mascot of Sega's Virtua Fighter video game franchise, and in the anime adaptation, Schnur's performance gave voice to the character's quest to master the martial art of Bajiquan and see the legendary eight stars in heaven.
