Jacques Ebner was a French actor and voice actor born in Paris on May 29, 1935, who passed away on December 13, 1999. While he had a career performing in French television programs and films, including roles in the 1970s films Molière and Opération Lady Marlène, he became particularly well-known for his extensive work in dubbing.

In the realm of animation, Ebner is perhaps most recognized for providing the voice of Nono, the small robot companion, in the Franco-Japanese anime series Ulysses 31. This science fiction adaptation of The Odyssey remains a classic of 1980s animation. His voice acting portfolio also includes roles in various other cartoons and dubbed productions. His anime and animated series credits include lending his voice to characters in Heavy Metal, Silverhawks, and Droopy.

Beyond animation, Jacques Ebner had a prolific career dubbing English-language television series and films for French audiences. He was notably the French voice of actor John Hillerman in the role of Jonathan Quayle Higgins III on the series Magnum, P.I.. He also dubbed both actors who played Dr. Watson, David Burke and Edward Hardwicke, in the Sherlock Holmes series starring Jeremy Brett. His dubbing work extended to Muppet productions, where he voiced Kermit the Frog on the French version of Sesame Street, 1 Rue Sésame, as well as characters in Fraggle Rock. Ebner was also a stage performer who appeared on Broadway in 1965 in the musical La Grosse Valise.
