Sylvie Moreau is a voice and screen actress born on December 30, 1964, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her career spans both live-action performance and animation voice work, primarily for French-language dubs of animated series and films. She studied dramatic arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), graduating in 1989. Early in her career, she co-founded the theatre company Momentum.

In the realm of anime and animated series, Sylvie Moreau is recognized for several voice roles from the 1980s. One of her notable parts is providing the replacement voice for the character Shyrka in the classic anime series Ulysses 31. Her voice for Shyrka appears in episodes 17, 22, 24, and 26 of the series, taking over from the main voice actress. Her other animation voice credits from this era include Lauda in The Mysterious Cities of Gold (Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or), Aura in Flash Gordon (1979 film version), the Queen of Darkness in Jayce and the Knights of the Light, and Ruth Wong in Michel Vaillant. She also voiced Rita in the French dub of Oliver and Company and Maléfique in a later dub of Sleeping Beauty.

Beyond these roles, her voice work includes the character Céleste in Babar: The Movie and the series Babar the Little Elephant, as well as the role of Nelly Maloye in the 2017 French-Belgian animated film Mission Kathmandu: The Adventures of Nelly & Simon.

Outside of voice acting, Sylvie Moreau has had a successful career as a screen and stage actress. She won a Genie Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1999 film Post Mortem and received a Gémeaux Award for her performance in the television series Catherine. She has also worked as an improviser, host, and director in her native Quebec.
