Mentzendorff trained as an actress at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg and has also worked as a radio host and video journalist.

Within the anime genre, Mentzendorff is recognized for several key voice roles in German-language dubs. She is the voice of Dextra in the series Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and reprised this role for its sequel, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II. She also voiced the character Mizue Shisui in the anime series Psycho-Pass 2.
