Lani Minella is an American voice actress, voice director, and producer, born on July 28, 1950, in San Diego, California. She attended San Diego State University before beginning a career in broadcasting, working as a morning drive radio host for an alternative station in the late 1980s. Her transition to voice acting began when a company heard her celebrity impersonations on the radio and hired her to provide voices for a LaserDisc sales presentation. This led to work writing scripts and performing voices for children's video games. In 1992, she founded AudioGodz, a voice-acting agency and production company that offers services ranging from casting and direction to sound design and editing. Minella is known for her four-octave vocal range, which has allowed her to perform a wide variety of characters across different ages and types.

Within the realm of anime and animation, Lani Minella has several notable English dub credits. She voiced Maya Jingu in the series Burn Up Excess. In the series Geneshaft, she provided the voice for Dolce Saito, a brilliant ten-year-old computer genius known as the "Puppet Master," as well as the character Chacha. More recently, she played the role of Kimi's Grandmother in the English dub of the animated film The Colors Within. Her other animation voice work includes a guest role as the Mayor of Central City in Justice League Unlimited, a young boy and an old woman in All Grown Up!, and the character Lorenzo in Motown Magic. She also contributed background voices for the film FernGully: The Last Rainforest, which marked her debut voice role.

While she has worked in animation, Minella is most widely recognized as one of the most prolific voice actors in the video game industry. Her extensive video game career includes over 500 titles. She is known for being the first English voice of Rouge the Bat and Omochao in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and she also served as the voice director for several early 3D Sonic games. She voiced the title character Nancy Drew in 32 games in the mystery series from 1998 to 2015. Her other iconic roles include Ivy Valentine in the Soulcalibur franchise, Luke Triton and Emmy Altava in the English versions of the Professor Layton series, Lucas and Pit in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Eve in Mass Effect 3, Sindel and Sheeva in the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, and the creature vocals for the Clickers in The Last of Us and its sequel. Her career also includes roles in major franchises such as Diablo, StarCraft, Warcraft, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In August 2024, Minella was recognized by Guinness World Records as the most prolific female video game voice actress. She continues to be active in the industry through her company, AudioGodz.
