Kunpei Sakamoto is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on October 10, 1965, in Tokyo. He is affiliated with the talent management agency Ken Production. After graduating from high school, he entered a training school run by the theatrical troupe Himawari. Sakamoto made his screen debut at the age of nineteen in the film Koko Kyoshi - Jukujuku. During his twenties and thirties, he was a member of the theatre company Shu Cream, where he frequently played leading roles in stage productions.

Sakamoto transitioned to voice acting after the conclusion of his so-called unlucky year, a period traditionally associated with adulthood in Japan. His entry into the voice acting field coincided with the Korean Wave, leading to early work dubbing numerous Korean dramas. His vocal work spans anime, video games, dubbing for foreign films and television series, and Western animation. Beyond acting, his known skills include mental arithmetic, tap dancing, and cleaning. His personal interests include visiting super public baths, the music of the band Southern All Stars, and the J.League.

In anime, Sakamoto has portrayed a wide range of supporting characters. He is known for voicing Manninger in Kakumeiki Valvrave (Valvrave the Liberator), Okano in Terror in Resonance, and the middle-aged version of the title character in Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden. He has also appeared in episodes of major series such as Hajime no Ippo, Pokemon XY, Yo-kai Watch, Attack on Titan, and Concrete Revolutio. In the Japanese dub of the Western animated series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, he provided the voices for President Spheros and Clyde, as well as the character Dr. Buttocks. In the field of video games, Sakamoto is recognized for his role as Peppy Hare in the Star Fox series, including Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins, and as Pablo Milan in Detective Pikachu.
