Tanuki Sugino is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on August 26, 1964, in Tokyo, Japan. He is currently affiliated with the talent agency Production Ace, having previously been associated with Tori Tori Office, Gekidan Hōyū, and B-Box. Over the course of his career, he has performed under several stage names, including Hiromi Sugino and Hiroomi Sugino, before settling on his current professional name, Tanuki Sugino.

Sugino began his voice acting career in 1993 with a role in the video game Fiend Hunter, and he soon transitioned into anime. He has built a substantial and varied career, lending his voice to a wide range of characters across numerous anime series, video games, and dubbed foreign language productions. Among his most recognizable anime roles are Dalzollene in the 1999 version of Hunter x Hunter, Zenon in Altair: A Record of Battles, and Yūjirō Kido in the series Barakamon. His extensive filmography also includes roles in long-running and popular series such as Digimon Adventure 02 and Digimon Frontier, where he voiced the character Bakumon, as well as parts in Clannad, Sonic X, Tiger & Bunny, and Bleach. He has additionally appeared in mecha and action series like Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue and the Battle Spirits franchise.

Beyond his work in Japanese animation, Sugino has had a prolific career in foreign language dubbing, providing the Japanese voice for characters in numerous international films and television dramas. He is known as the regular Japanese voice actor for actor Taylor Wily, famous for his role as Kamekona in the series Hawaii Five-0. His dubbing credits include major films such as Eternals and the Fantastic Beasts series. In addition to voice acting, he is also an active stage performer.
