Chika Fujitō
Description
Chika Fujitō is a Japanese voice actress born on July 16, 1985, in Hyōgo Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Avex Planning & Development. Standing 152 cm tall with AB blood type, she is a graduate of the Avex Artist Academy. Fujitō made her voice acting debut in 2009, landing the role that would become her most iconic: Nodoka Manabe, the childhood friend and student council president of the main character Yui Hirasawa, in the highly popular anime series K-ON!. She reprised this role for the second season, K-ON!!, in 2010 and for the 2011 theatrical film, K-ON! The Movie.
Following her breakout role in K-ON!, Fujitō took on a variety of supporting parts in other series. In 2011, she voiced the character Kyo in the dystopian action series Guilty Crown. The following year, she appeared as Sammy in the fantasy series Shinseiiki Gridman and as Yuki in the mecha anime Danball Senki W. Her other television anime credits include a minor role as a spectator in Chihayafuru 2 in 2013, and later, parts in series like the supernatural comedy Hozuki no Reitetsu in 2015. In 2016, she had guest roles in several shows, including providing voices of a mother in the comedy Witchcraft Works and a female clerk in the short-form anime Kōsaku-in wa Koi ga Wakaranai. Her last major anime role to date was as Shō Ōzakura in the 2018 romantic comedy series Dūkyun to Kanojo. Beyond television, Fujitō’s work includes providing the Japanese dub voice for the character Diane Nixon in the medical drama ER and voicing Nodoka Manabe in the 2010 video game K-ON! Hōkago Live!!. She has also contributed character image songs for her role in K-ON!.
