Artt Butler, born Arthur M. Butler on October 13, 1969 in Los Angeles County, California, is an American voice actor of half-Japanese and half-Mexican heritage. He began working in the voice-over industry in the early 1990s, initially as a receptionist and office manager at a talent agency before transitioning to directing voice talent. After approximately fifteen years in behind-the-scenes roles, Butler shifted to performing and made his on-screen voice acting debut in 2008. His first role was providing the English voice for Sabato Kuroi in the anime series Blade of the Immortal.

Butler is known for several major voice roles across animation and video games. One of his breakthrough parts came in 2011 when he voiced Captain Ackbar in three episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. From 2015 to 2019, he played the recurring role of Rafael Diaz, the father of the title character, in the Disney Channel animated series Star vs. the Forces of Evil. In the realm of animated films, he voiced the sorcerer Shang Tsung in the direct-to-video movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge in 2020, a role he reprised in the sequels Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms in 2021 and Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind in 2022; in Battle of the Realms, he also voiced the character Cyrax. Other film work includes providing the dual voice of Uncle and Bill in the 2020 animated feature Over the Moon. In video games, his credits include Ghost of Tsushima in 2020, Lost Judgment as Akihiro Ehara in 2021, and Diablo IV as Genbar in 2023.

Butler has continued to work in anime-related projects. In 2024, he voiced Coach Shimura in the Netflix animated film Ultraman: Rising. He has been announced as the narrator for the upcoming anime series Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise. Other recent work includes reprising the role of Iroh in the fighting game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 and providing additional voices for the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion.

Throughout his career, Butler has collaborated with a range of voice actors and creators across multiple projects. He has worked with voice actors such as Patrick Seitz, Jeremy Adams, and John Tobias on several occasions, as well as with Grey DeLisle and Fred Tatasciore across various titles.

Notable achievements in Butler's career include his transition from directing and coaching voice talent to becoming a successful performer in his own right. He became a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 2009. His work spans major franchises including Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, and Disney animation, as well as critically acclaimed films such as Her from 2013, for which he provided the male computer text voice.
