Marco Ammer is a German voice actor, television host, and actor born on April 7, 1976, in Schwäbisch Hall. Prior to his entertainment career, he completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk. His first television role was as a head of service for the youth program NBC GIGA in 2000. He later studied acting at the Schauspielschule Charlottenburg in Berlin, which was followed by stage performances at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and the Theater der Altstadt in Stuttgart.

In the field of voice acting, Ammer has been active since approximately 2007, providing German dubbing voices for a wide range of characters in both films and television series. He is known for his work in the anime genre, most notably providing the voice for the character Jed in the 2013 film Hunter x Hunter The Last Mission. The German synchronization for this film was produced in 2016 by TNT Media GmbH in Berlin.

Beyond anime, Ammer has taken on several recurring voice roles in international television series. He is recognized as the German voice of actor Timothy Olyphant as Joel Hammond in the series Santa Clarita Diet, a role he performed across thirty episodes. Other notable recurring roles include Mike Mitchell as Randy Monahan in Love and Kwame Patterson as Monk in The Wire. His extensive voice credits also include numerous guest roles in popular series such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Better Call Saul, Grey's Anatomy, and American Horror Story, as well as voice work in animated series like Spider-Man and Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse.

In addition to his voice acting, Marco Ammer has maintained a parallel career as a television moderator. Since March 2017, he has been a co-host of the daily television magazine nihao Germany, which is broadcast on several regional networks across Germany. He also works as a warm-up moderator for news talk shows and an event host for trade fairs and award ceremonies.
