Aura Caamaño

Description
Aura Caamaño is a Venezuelan voice actress, dubbing director, and independent producer with a career spanning over eighteen years in the industry. She is known for her work in anime, animated series, and live-action dubbing, with notable roles including Sierra in the Total Drama franchise and providing the second voice for Boots in Dora the Explorer.

Caamaño's entry into the world of dubbing came through her friendship with Franklin Zambrano, who helped her secure a position as a production assistant at Lain. During this period, she developed an interest in the artistic side of dubbing, watching actors like Carlos Vitale record, and began receiving calls from directors to cover various roles. Encouragement from Lileana Chacón, Ricardo Omaña, and Hugo Esnarriaga about her voice, along with an invitation from Maythe Guedes to audition for the series XxxHOLiC, helped launch her voice acting career.

In the realm of anime, Caamaño has voiced Mako Nakarai in Bokurano, Maru-dashi in XxxHOLiC, and Madame Christmas in the Animax version of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Her extensive filmography also includes roles in Blue Dragon, Nodame Cantabile, Planet Survival, Mushishi, and numerous other anime titles where she performed diverse voices.

Her work in animated series is particularly extensive. She voiced Sierra in multiple Total Drama iterations, including Total Drama World Tour and Total Drama All-Stars. In Steven Universe, she voiced White Diamond and Opal, a role she reprised for Steven Universe: The Movie. Other significant animated roles include Jade Cheshire in Young Justice, Queen Luna and various fairies in Winx Club, and Nugget in Zip Zip. She also contributed voices to popular series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Danny Phantom.

Beyond animation, Caamaño has worked extensively in dubbing for live-action television series, including roles in Dexter, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hell on Wheels, Vis a vis, and Pulsaciones. She has also provided voices for reality shows and documentaries.

Throughout her career, she has frequently collaborated with a range of voice actors. One of her most frequent collaborators is Guillermo Martinez. Her body of work demonstrates a sustained presence in the Venezuelan dubbing industry across multiple genres and formats.
