Jeremiah Ocañas is recognized for his work as a voice actor in the English-language dub of the anime series Soul Hunter, which is also known as Senkaiden Hōshin Engi. In that series, he provided the voice for the character Kou Tenka, a Doushi from Kun Lun Mountain and the second son of Kou Hiko. Released in 1999, this adaptation of the manga Hoshin Engi was distributed in the United States by ADV Films. Reviewers at the time highlighted Ocañas's performance, noting that his English voice work for Kou Tenka featured a gentle twang that was considered perfectly suited to the character.

Beyond this specific anime role, Ocañas has built a career as a multi-talented performer and entrepreneur. Acting has been a passion of his since his first casting in a short film shot in 1998 in his hometown of El Campo, Texas. His body of work includes lead roles in various live-action films, such as the award-winning Drive By Chronicles: Ghostown and Choosing Signs, which was shot in Cork, Ireland, as well as Homebound, which he also produced in Texas. He has also worked as a writer and director; he wrote, directed, and acted in the film B.O.O.S.T., a project he invested significant time and personal resources to complete. In addition, his web series NO KIDS. NO CRY. A Baby Mama Drama received a nomination for an Imagen Award. Ocañas is also a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer of Lone Stars Entertainment, for which he writes and shoots music videos for the hip-hop group The Lone Stars.
