Xabier Alkiza

Xabier Alkiza is a Basque dubbing actor and director known for his work in the audiovisual localization industry, particularly for voice work in the Basque language, Euskera. Alkiza has worked on a variety of projects spanning live-action films, television series, and animated features.

Alkiza is most prominently recognized as the voice of Monkey D. Luffy, the central protagonist of the long-running anime series One Piece, in the Euskera dub produced for the Basque public broadcaster EiTB. The Basque version of One Piece initially aired episodes until a hiatus, but new episodes resumed production and began airing in March 2026, with Alkiza continuing to voice the character. In addition to his role on One Piece, his other voice acting credits in animated films include roles in the Spanish animated feature Elcano y Magallanes: La primera vuelta al mundo as the character Yago and in Supertramps as a young pit bull.

Beyond his work in animation, Alkiza has dubbed numerous live-action roles into Castilian Spanish. His credits include dubbing Aaron Poole as Daniel Carter in the 2016 film The Void, Nicolas Duvauchelle as Vincent in the 2010 film 4 Lovers, and Francesco Casisa as Pasquale in the 2002 film Respiro. In television, he has provided voices for multiple characters in the Chicago franchise, including Dr. Jeff Clarke in Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, as well as Harold Capp and Leon Cruz in Chicago Fire. He also dubbed the character Nick Carbo Karandonis in the series De vuelta al nido.
