Wolfgang Schatz is a German voice actor, actor, and moderator born on July 29, 1960, in Bielefeld, Germany. He completed his acting training at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen between 1980 and 1983, and has been active as a voice actor and television actor since 1988. He resides in Munich and, in addition to his native German, speaks English and French.

Schatz is best known in anime for providing numerous voices in the long-running series One Piece. His most prominent role in the series is Scratchmen Apoo, the captain of the On Air Pirates and a member of the Eleven Supernovas, a role he performed in both the television series and the 2019 film One Piece: Stampede. Beyond Apoo, he has voiced a wide array of supporting and minor characters in One Piece, including Onigumo, Portgas D. Ace (for a period), Lucky Lou, Agotogi, and various marine soldiers and pirates.

His other significant anime voice credits include the character Decoe in Sonic X, Nelson Muntz in The Simpsons (beginning with season six), and a guest role as Professor Lind in an episode of Pokemon. His voice work also extends to other animated series such as Futurama, South Park, and New Spider-Man.

Beyond his work in animation, Schatz has a broad career as a commercial and off-screen narrator. His voice has been featured in advertising campaigns for major brands including BMW, Deutsche Bahn, Toyota, and Nike. He has also narrated documentaries for broadcasters such as ARD, ZDF, and Discovery, and has lent his voice to various audiobooks and video games.
