Jalen Askins is an American voice actor based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, who has been working professionally in the voiceover industry for approximately six years. He is known for providing English dubbing voices for anime and video games, and his vocal quality is often described by clients as powerful, commanding, and engaging. His interest in voice acting began at the age of nine, inspired by childhood exposure to animated series such as Animaniacs, Avatar the Last Airbender, and Ducktales.

Askins began his career by auditioning while taking voiceover classes, initially using basic equipment to secure small independent roles before gradually upgrading his setup and earning more paid work in video games and animation. His professional portfolio includes a variety of projects across different media. In video games, he has provided voices for titles such as AFK Journey, Arena Breakout Infinite, Dark Envoy, and Rush Royale. In animation, his work includes roles for DC Heroes United and Adult Swim, and his voice was featured at the 2024 Game Awards. Additional voiceover work includes projects for Pocket FM and various commercials.

One of Askins most prominent anime voice roles is Kyo Sawashiro in the English dub of the series Digimon Beatbreak. Kyo Sawashiro is a twenty-two-year-old character who serves as a Cleaner and the leader of a bounty hunting team called Glowing Dawn in the Digimon universe. The English dub cast for Digimon Beatbreak, which began streaming on Crunchyroll in late 2025, also includes actors such as Zeno Robinson, Cristina Vee, and Cory Yee. For his performance as Kyo in this series, Askins received positive remarks for sounding natural and relaxed in his debut anime role.

Outside of voice acting, Askins enjoys writing, drawing, and singing, and has expressed a desire to work as an animation writer in the future. He is able to perform a range of accents, including Texan, British, African, New York, and Standard American. Among his professional achievements, Askins was a winner at the SOVAS Voice Arts Awards in 2023 and was recognized as the first Japanese male nominee in the OVA International Category.
