Rene Sagastume is a Mexican-born voice actor and dubbing director based in Argentina, with a career that began in Mexico City in 1982. After relocating to Buenos Aires in 1994, his dubbing work resumed on a larger scale starting in 2003. In addition to acting, he has taken on directing roles, particularly for video game localizations.

In the field of anime, Sagastume is known for voicing Daisuke Jigen in the Latin American Spanish dub of Lupin the Third Part 6 and the crossover film Lupin III vs. Cat's Eye. His other notable anime roles include King Cold in the Argentinian dub of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Dark Oak in later episodes of Sonic X, and Omega Red and Shingen Yashida in the anime adaptation of Wolverine. His film work in the genre includes voicing General Below in First Squad: The Moment of Truth and Wadatsumi in Legend of the Millennium Dragon. He also voiced Nick Fury in the Argentine dubs of the animated features Iron Man: Rise of Technovore and Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher.

Beyond anime, his voice is heard in documentaries, infomercials, cinematic trailers, and as a voice for the television network ESPN3. His extensive live-action dubbing work often includes providing voices for Forest Whitaker and Samuel L. Jackson.
