Hiroyuki Takano is a Japanese voice actor and actor born on January 1, 1961, in Tokyo, Japan. His career began at a very young age; he was a child actor affiliated with a theater group from his first year of elementary school through his third year of high school. During this period, he appeared in numerous children's television programs in the 1960s and 1970s. One of his most notable early roles was as a lead actor in the 1972 live-action tokusatsu drama based on the manga Barom One.

His relationship with the Barom One franchise is a defining part of his career. Decades after appearing as a child actor in the original live-action series, Takano returned to the property in 2002 to provide voice work for its anime adaptation, Barom One. In that series, he played the dual role of the heroic character Barom-1 and also served as the series narrator. This marked a significant transition from on-screen child performer to voice actor for an established franchise.

Beyond his work on Barom One, Takano has contributed to other anime and tokusatsu productions, often in voice roles. His later voice acting credits include a guest role in the 2019 series Ultraman Taiga, where he voiced a character known as the Man Who Wants to Return to the Stars. In 2022, he provided narration for an episode of the anime series Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department. His career has also included work as an actor in films and television dramas, including a role in the 2014 remake of the mystery drama Nazo no Tenkousei.
