Naruki is the original creator of the manga series Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent, also known by its Japanese title Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun. This shojo romance manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine in January 2021. The story follows Momose, a high school girl who longs for a peaceful life away from troublemakers, and Ichikura, a bespectacled boy who appears to be a normal, nice student but who was a notorious delinquent in junior high. The narrative explores their relationship as Momose grapples with her disdain for delinquents while becoming attracted to Ichikura, who insists he has changed his ways despite still being quick to pick fights. As of December 2025, the manga had ten compiled volumes in circulation, with total cumulative copies exceeding approximately one million. The series is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. In April 2026, it was officially announced that Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent has been green-lit for a television anime adaptation. Celebrating the announcement, Naruki released an original illustration and expressed happiness at seeing the characters come to life, noting that it had been a long-held dream to see the drawn characters speak and move. Prior to this work, the creator Naruki has also been credited as the author and artist for all volumes of the series, which continues to be serialized with an eleventh volume scheduled for release in May 2026.
