Alphatart is a South Korean author recognized as the original creator of the popular web novels and manhwa series The Remarried Empress and Men of the Harem. On library catalog records and official publications, Alphatart is identified as a novelist and the writer of the original stories upon which the manhwa adaptations are based.
The Remarried Empress began as a web novel serialized on Naver Web Novel from November 2018 to March 2020, with its chapters later collected into eight volumes. The story follows Navier Ellie Trovi, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who is forced to accept her husband Emperor Sovieshu's demand for a divorce after he falls for another woman. She shocks the court by calmly requesting approval for her remarriage. This property was adapted into a manhwa, or Korean webtoon, which started serialization on Naver Webtoon in October 2019.
