Kathrin Neusser

Kathrin Neusser is a German actress and voice actor born in Berlin in 1981. She has been active in the dubbing industry since 1996, lending her voice to numerous characters in anime, animated series, and live-action films.

Her voice work in anime is extensive. She provided the German voice for Kaori, often called Kaorin, in the series Azumanga Daioh: The Animation and its associated short film. Neusser is also well-known for voicing the time-traveling mascot Mikuru Asahina in the popular franchise The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, a role she reprised for the film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Her casting as Mikuru Asahina came about through a fan vote organized by the German DVD label Kazé Deutschland in 2008. For the film version, she was flown in from abroad by the publisher to record her lines in 2012.

Her other notable anime roles include the protagonist Firiel Dee in The Good Witch of the West (known in German as Astraea Testament), Hitomi Momoi in the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology, and Elyse Stewart in Sin: The Movie. She has also voiced significant characters in other major series, such as Misaki Suzuhara in Angelic Layer, Mayu in Elfen Lied, Chao Rinshen in the Magister Negi Magi franchise, Fuuko Ibuki in Clannad, Yukio Washimine in Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage, and Chunyan in Tsubasa Chronicle.

Beyond anime, Neusser's career includes voice work for a wide range of live-action films and television series. She has dubbed actresses in productions such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, One Tree Hill, Everwood, Veronica Mars, Kyle XY, Under the Dome, and the Barbie film series. In addition to her voice work, she also works as a dialogue writer for German dubs.
