Esther Barth is a German actress and voice actor based in Hamburg. She was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1976 and completed her acting training at the Schauspielakademie Reduta in Berlin from 1998 to 2002. Following her education, she began working as a freelance actress in 2004 and also started her career as a voice actor that same year.

Her voice work spans a wide range of media, including film and television dubbing, computer games, audiobooks, and radio plays. In the realm of anime, Barth is known for providing the German voice for the character Kagura in the German synchronization of the series Azumanga Daioh - The Very Short Movie, a role produced by Deutsche Synchron Berlin under the direction of Stefan Wellner. Her other anime dubbing credits include the role of Tamayo in Angelic Layer and a role in Ruby Gloom, both also for Deutsche Synchron Berlin. She also lent her voice to the character Ashlyn in the animated film Barbie and the Twelve Dancing Princesses.

Beyond anime, Barth has voiced numerous characters in live-action series and films. She has dubbed actresses such as Joanne Kelly in Vanished and CSI: Miami, Athena Karkanis in The Best Years, Hattie Morahan in The Bletchley Circle, Claire Tran in No Second Chance, and Julia Lemmertz in From Beginning to End. Her work in the video game industry is extensive, with notable roles including main character voices in Mass Effect: Andromeda, League of Legends, Mafia 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, as well as contributing to games like Star Wars: The Old Republic and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with many of these projects recorded at Toneworx Hamburg.

In addition to her voice work, Barth continues her career as a stage actress, performing with various theater ensembles, and has also appeared in German television productions. Her contributions to theater were recognized with an award for a modern play on a social theme at the International Kammertheaterfestival MOST in Hanover in 2022.
