ONA
Description
Chibi Godzilla, a tiny and adorable version of the King of the Monsters, arrives on Earth and begins living in the home of Satomi, an ordinary office worker. The series follows their daily life together in a modern Japanese apartment, where Chibi Godzilla enthusiastically but clumsily navigates human routines while dreaming of one day becoming a true monster king.

The main character, Chibi Godzilla, is a small green creature who still possesses a faint atomic breath, which he uses for mundane tasks like lighting birthday cake candles or toasting bread. His human caretaker, Satomi, patiently deals with the chaos he causes, from dropped food to imagined workplace rampages. Supporting characters include chibi versions of classic Toho kaiju who occasionally visit: Chibi Mothra, Chibi Rodan, and the three-headed Chibi Ghidorah.

The narrative unfolds in extremely short episodes lasting approximately thirty seconds to one minute, each presenting a self-contained scene. Notable story arcs include Chibi Godzilla training to become King of the Monsters, attempting to cook despite his limited abilities, expressing his wish to fly like Rodan, and enjoying a trip to a hot spring. Another episode features Chibi Godzilla believing an enemy is approaching, only to discover it is just the laundry hanging outside. The series concludes with an episode titled Okaeri! Chibi Gojira, which translates to Welcome Home! Chibi Godzilla.

Throughout the series, the animation includes subtle references for longtime Godzilla fans, such as Chibi Godzilla propelling himself through the air with his atomic breath in a nod to Godzilla vs. Hedorah from 1971. Satomi also wears shirts with the words Oxygen and Destroyer, referring to the Oxygen Destroyer weapon from the original 1954 Godzilla film. The tone remains lighthearted and family-friendly, focusing on gentle humor and the simple joys of an unlikely friendship between a human and a legendary monster in miniature form.
