A two-episode OVA from 1985, Lovely Series presents two largely independent science fiction stories with erotic themes. The first episode is set in a near future where humanity has begun regularly traveling to a large space station in orbit. During one such passenger flight, several people report seeing an unidentified flying object. Their suspicions are confirmed when a tentacled alien creature emerges from the sea near a beach. Soon, the number of incidents involving unconscious women found on the shore or floating in the water begins to rise. Meanwhile, at a nearby beach house, a brother and sister plan to have fun while waiting for their friends to arrive for a party.

The second episode shifts to a different narrative involving an alien spaceship. After launching from underwater, the ship experiences severe technical difficulties and is pulled into a space-time rift, leading to a crash landing on Earth. A resident of the Garden of Eden named Adam manages to pull an unconscious woman from the wreckage. When she regains her memory, she reveals that she was once known on Earth as Love. Adam warns her about a forbidden tree that must not be approached, as its fruit is strictly taboo. A snake, believing that humans are spiritually superior to animals and therefore should not be allowed to reproduce, attempts to sow discord between Adam and Love by tricking Love into picking fruit from that very tree.
