TV-Series
Description
Elizabeth, the daughter of a duke in the kingdom of Mowars, is falsely accused of being a villainess and summarily exiled to a neighboring land. Stripped of her status, she is sent to live as a novice sister at the remote Nortia Church in the borderlands of the Kingdom of Limaiza. While this would be a ruinous fate for most, Elizabeth secretly welcomes it. Since childhood, she has recalled memories of her past life as a Japanese event planner named Yuka Sawatani, a woman who worked herself to death. Aware that she is living within the world of an otome game where her character is meant to disappear after the story ends, Elizabeth finds her exile to be a welcome liberation from the gilded cage of nobility.

The setting is a rural, somewhat lax church where the sisters are largely left to their own devices. Using the severance payment from her family, Elizabeth decides to enjoy a self-sufficient, slow life focused entirely on culinary reform. Drawing on her modern knowledge, she revolutionizes the churchs modest meals, cooking hearty roasts, fluffy bread, and apple candy, much to the delight of the other sisters and the children living at the church. She begins applying her event planning expertise to local village revitalization, creating new festival foods and boosting attendance at church bazaars.

However, her peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of Leonid Guardhelm, the fearsome knight commander of her former kingdom. Officially, he claims to be keeping an eye on her, but he soon moves into the church grounds without invitation. Far from a threat, Leonid is a socially awkward and stoic warrior who has secretly fallen in love with Elizabeth. His intense, unspoken affection contrasts humorously with Elizabeths cheerful obliviousness as she focuses on her cooking and chores.

The story follows several notable narrative arcs that expand beyond the church kitchen. Elizabeth must navigate her lingering connections to the otome games plot, including confrontations with the heroine and the sudden reappearance of Prince Michel, a yandere (lovestruck and possessive) prince she believed she had avoided in childhood. Her growing reputation attracts the attention of other powerful men from the game, such as Prince Alfonso of the Renvar Empire, leading to complicated love triangle scenarios that force the stoic Leonid to confront his feelings. As the series progresses, Elizabeth and Leonid discover surprising connections in their pasts, and their relationship slowly deepens through adventures ranging from resort vacations to shipwrecks on deserted islands, all while maintaining the core theme of using delicious food to build community and heal old wounds.
