Description
An overworked event planner from Japan, Sawatani Yuka, dies from exhaustion and reincarnates with her memories intact into the world of an otome game. She awakens as Elizabeth, the duke’s daughter and the story’s designated villainess. Despite her best efforts to change the course of the narrative, she is unable to avoid the game’s ending and is swiftly convicted of fabricated crimes, stripped of her title, and exiled from the kingdom to serve as a nun in a remote church.

Far from seeing this as a punishment, Elizabeth embraces her banishment as a long-awaited liberation from the suffocating constraints of noble society. She relocates to the Nortia Church in a border region of a neighboring country, where she begins her new life as a sister-in-training. The church operates with relaxed discipline and a self-sufficient lifestyle, which suits Elizabeth perfectly. Using the knowledge from her past life as an event planner, she decides to apply modern culinary and organizational concepts to her new environment, introducing dishes like roasted pork, peanut bread, apple candy, and fluffy white bread for mass. She also begins reforming the church’s operations, developing local specialties and organizing charity sales, all while believing that as long as no one discovers her past-life memories, she can enjoy this leisurely freedom indefinitely.

Her plans for a quiet life are complicated, however, by the sudden arrival of Leonid, the fearsome knight commander from the kingdom that exiled her. He insists he has been sent to keep watch over her and unilaterally moves into the church grounds. Though his intimidating presence initially seems like a threat, Elizabeth soon realizes that his interest in her may be personal rather than professional. She reluctantly tolerates his company as long as he does not interfere with her activities.

The story unfolds through a series of episodic arcs that blend culinary innovation with social reform and slow-burn romance. In early chapters, Elizabeth establishes her independence and navigates her initial encounters with Leonid, whose awkward attempts to get closer to her provide much of the comedy. She later uses her skills to help a runaway couple by hosting their wedding at the church, an event that demonstrates her ability to create community and adapt her event-planning expertise to her new life. Subsequent arcs involve charity visits, a confrontation with a baron’s daughter from her past, and the reappearance of the game’s original heroine. As Elizabeth works to popularize her cooking innovations, from cider towers to yogurt and vegetable juice, she gradually builds a found family around herself while attracting unwanted attention from her former world. Meanwhile, Leonid’s presence grows increasingly essential, shifting from surveillance to genuine partnership as both begin to develop feelings for one another, though Elizabeth remains characteristically oblivious.
