A 15-year-old high school student named Hideo Aiba is a member of the Roman Club, a school group ostensibly dedicated to investigating the occult, ghosts, and UFOs. Bored with his mundane existence, his life is upended when a mysterious transfer student named Kurumi Sahana joins the club. Left alone together in the clubroom, Kurumi makes a peculiar and shocking request of Hideo, transforming his life from tedious to utterly unpredictable.

The story takes place on the grounds of their high school and the surrounding town, with the Roman Club’s clubroom serving as a central meeting point. The narrative often shifts between playful daytime group activities with other club members and more intense, charged nighttime encounters between Hideo and Kurumi alone.

Kurumi, quiet and self-possessed, adopts the role of Hideo’s master, subjecting him to a strict and teasing regime. She drives him to the brink of arousal but always stops him at the last moment, a practice known as sundome, which translates to stopping the moment before. This becomes the core of their transactional and intense relationship, where Kurumi offers rewards to encourage Hideo to become braver and stronger, leading him to work out and push his physical limits.

The main supporting characters are the eccentric members of the Roman Club, including the former president who was expelled under mysterious circumstances, Katsu with his peeping fetish, and Tatsuya who has a fixation on legs and a doll he calls Aimu. Their interactions with Hideo and Kurumi, along with conflicts involving other students like the frivolous Kyouko and the aggressive Yasu, create notable subplots and challenges for Hideo as he navigates jealousy and strives for self-improvement to please Kurumi.

The live-action television drama miniseries consists of six episodes, which premiered on November 1, 2023, on Abema TV. The series is directed by Kenichi Kudan, with scripts written by Cha Kondō. Hikaru Yamazaki stars as Hideo Aiba, and Yui Arata plays the enigmatic Kurumi Sahana.
