Rei Yokoyamada is a high school student with dreams of becoming a film director. Inspired by his father’s work at a production company, he sets out with friends to make a short film. While scouting for actors, he notices tabloid-style flyers revealing that the adult film star known as Papico lives in his neighborhood. He removes them to protect her privacy and soon encounters the woman herself. But before he can approach her as a potential collaborator, a bizarre supernatural event changes everything.

Papico, whose real name is Chiho Johansson, gains the ability to grow to the size of a kaiju. Suddenly able to reach colossal proportions, she finds herself at the center of escalating, surreal disasters that threaten Tokyo and the world. Alongside Rei, who becomes her reluctant ally and confidant, she must confront monstrous entities and apocalyptic phenomena that appear to be generated by a mysterious online service called Enjoy the End, a nihilistic social media platform that actively encourages destruction.

The story weaves together science fiction, romance, and drama as Rei and Papico navigate their deepening bond amid the chaos. Papico’s transformations and the battles that follow force both characters to confront questions of identity, public perception, and the consequences of a society obsessed with consumption and spectacle. Time travel, urban-scale kaiju clashes, and sharp satire of internet culture underpin the narrative, all while the central relationship between a young filmmaker and an adult-film actress turned giant heroine drives the emotional core.
