Description
"Tekkaman Blade: Burning Clock" is a two-episode OVA that serves as a sequel to the original "Tekkaman Blade" series. The story is set in a future where Earth is under constant threat from the Radam, an alien race that seeks to conquer the planet by transforming humans into Tekkamen, biomechanical warriors. The protagonist, D-Boy (Takaya Aiba), is a former Tekkaman who regained his humanity and now fights against the Radam using the advanced Tekkaman Blade system.
The narrative begins with D-Boy and his allies from the Space Knights continuing their battle against the Radam. Despite their efforts, the Radam's forces remain a formidable threat. The OVA introduces a new antagonist, Chronos, a powerful Tekkaman with the ability to manipulate time. Chronos poses a significant challenge to D-Boy, as his time-based powers make him nearly invincible in combat. The conflict escalates when Chronos targets the Space Knights' headquarters, forcing D-Boy to confront him directly.
Throughout the OVA, themes of sacrifice, resilience, and the struggle for humanity are explored. D-Boy's internal conflict is highlighted as he grapples with the remnants of his Tekkaman transformation and the toll it takes on his body. The supporting characters, including Noal Vereuse and Aki Kisaragi, play crucial roles in the battle, providing strategic and emotional support to D-Boy.
The climax of the story involves a high-stakes battle between D-Boy and Chronos, where D-Boy must push his limits to overcome Chronos's time-manipulation abilities. The resolution of the conflict underscores the ongoing struggle against the Radam and the sacrifices required to protect humanity. The OVA concludes with an open-ended note, leaving room for further developments in the "Tekkaman Blade" universe.
"Tekkaman Blade: Burning Clock" expands on the original series' narrative, introducing new challenges and deepening the exploration of its characters' struggles. The OVA maintains the core elements of the "Tekkaman Blade" series while delivering a concise and action-packed continuation of the story.
