His most defining trait is his unwavering support for Kanata Age, his former teammate who is widely despised as a traitor. Lloyd is one of the very few people in the academy who does not believe Kanata betrayed the platoon, and he consistently defends him against harsh criticism. Lloyd's role in the story is that of a supportive ally to Kanata and a competent member of S128.
