Description
Nana Sakurai is the main protagonist of Prince of Stride: Alternative. She is a first-year student at Honan Academy who moves alone from Hokkaido to Tokyo after being captivated by a video of the school's stride team. She quickly becomes involved in the school's dormant stride club, initially hoping to serve as its manager but ultimately taking on the role of the team's relationer. A relationer is the member who analyzes the race and provides real-time information and strategic guidance to the runners. Nana is described as a hardworking, brave, and fearless young woman. Her motivation stems from a deep passion for the sport of stride, and she is determined to revive the Honan Academy stride club, which has been inactive for two years following a violent incident. Alongside classmates Takeru Fujiwara and Riku Yagami, she works to recruit members and rebuild the team with the goal of competing in and winning the prestigious End of Summer competition. Nana's role in the story is that of a central driving force; she is the club's manager and relationer, supporting the runners both emotionally and strategically. Her key relationships include her close bonds with Takeru and Riku, who ask her to become the relationer, and with the other members of the revived team. She lives with her legal guardian, Koichi Takahara, in his tea house.
