Description
Android 18 began life as a human named Lazuli, forcibly transformed into a cyborg by the scientist Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army alongside her twin brother, who became Android 17. She resides on Earth with her husband, Krillin, and their daughter, Marron, living a peaceful life far removed from her violent introduction as an antagonist. Her personality blends calm confidence, dry sarcasm, and tactical pragmatism. While she can appear cold or dismissive, particularly when financial compensation is not involved, she possesses a softer, more compassionate side reserved for her family. Financial incentives often drive her decisions, such as entering tournaments for prize money, yet she demonstrates loyalty and protectiveness toward Krillin and her brother. In Dragon Ball Super, she plays a significant supporting role, most prominently during the Universe Survival arc. Recruited by Goku to join Team Universe 7 in the Tournament of Power, she initially joins for the monetary reward but quickly recognizes the gravity of the situation. Throughout the tournament, she demonstrates strategic teamwork with Krillin and later with Android 17, eliminating several opponents including Ribrianne. She shows selflessness by jumping from the arena to save her brother, leading to her own elimination. She is also present during the conflict with the God of Destruction Beerus at Bulma's birthday party. In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, she aids in combating the revived Red Ribbon Army, participating in the final battle against Cell Max alongside Krillin, Goten, Trunks, and Bulma. Android 18 retains powerful enhancements from Dr. Gero, including superhuman strength, speed, flight, energy projection, and a perpetual energy reactor granting her limitless stamina, a significant advantage over purely organic warriors. She remains a formidable fighter, capable of holding her own through raw power, tactical intelligence, and unending energy reserves.
