Description
Champa is the God of Destruction for the sixth universe in the Dragon Ball super series. He is the twin brother of Beerus, the God of Destruction for the seventh universe. In terms of appearance, Champa is a corpulent, anthropomorphic purple cat with large pointed ears, a short tail, and typically wears an expression of smug arrogance. His attire is similar to his brother's, consisting of a black and red Egyptian-style outfit with a deep red sash and matching pants, complemented by gold bracelets and a single gold earring in his right ear.

Champa possesses a personality that is largely arrogant, impatient, and ill-tempered. Like his brother, he is quick to threaten destruction over minor annoyances and holds a high opinion of his own power. However, he is also notably petty and competitive, especially when it comes to his rivalry with Beerus. His most defining characteristic is a deep-seated, almost obsessive love for delicious food. This gluttonous desire is a primary motivator for his actions, overriding more strategic or dignified considerations.

Champa's central motivation throughout the story is largely driven by his rivalry with his brother and his quest for gourmet satisfaction. He is consumed by the desire to prove himself superior to Beerus, whether through combat, the quality of their respective universe's cuisine, or success in tournament settings. His immediate and most powerful motivation is to acquire the Earth from the seventh universe, as he learns it is a veritable treasure trove of incredible food, a resource that was lost when the Earth in his own universe was destroyed in a war.

Champa plays a pivotal role in the narrative as the catalyst for the sixth universe arc. After discovering the culinary wonders of seventh universe's Earth, he challenges Beerus to a martial arts tournament between their universes, with the winning side claiming the planet. He serves as both an antagonist and a source of comic relief during this arc, as his plans are often foiled by his own miscalculations and the unexpected strength of the seventh universe's warriors. Later, in the Tournament of Power arc, Champa's role shifts to that of a desperate manager for his universe, forced to face the terrifying consequences of failure: the erasure of his entire existence.

Champa's key relationships are defined by his twin brother Beerus, his attendant Vados, and the sixth universe's Supreme Kai, Fuwa. His relationship with Beerus is a constant source of conflict and humorous bickering, marked by a ferocious sibling rivalry that nevertheless shows hints of underlying affection, such as when he offers a final teasing farewell before being erased. Vados acts as his angelic attendant and martial arts master; while she dutifully serves him, she often subtly mocks and corrects his behavior, much to his chagrin. As a God of Destruction, his life is intrinsically linked to Fuwa, the Supreme Kai of universe six. if one were to die, the other would perish as well, creating a bond that forces a degree of cooperation despite their differing temperaments.

Over the course of the series, Champa undergoes a subtle but noticeable development. Initially presented as a purely selfish and spoiled deity willing to steal another universe's planet for his own palate, he gains a degree of respect for his universe's warriors, particularly Hit and Cabba, showing admiration for their strength and resolve rather than simply anger at their failure. His final moments before being erased by the Omni-King, where he accepts his fate with a degree of dignity and extends a final childish gesture to his brother, show a more complex side to his character, moving beyond simple villainy.

As a God of Destruction, Champa possesses immense power, placing him among the strongest beings in the multiverse. His abilities include superhuman strength, speed, and durability, as well as the ability to fly and to project destructive energy. His signature technique is the Sphere of Destruction, a potent sphere of energy that can obliterate any matter it touches. He can also perform a more focused version of this attack from his fingertip. While incredibly powerful, it has been suggested by his attendant Vados that his physique makes him slightly less powerful and potentially slower than his brother Beerus, despite being his equal in destructive capacity. A direct, full-power confrontation between two Gods of Destruction is forbidden, as it would annihilate both of their respective universes.
