Description
Miku's Father is a minor supporting character in The Way of the Househusband. He is the unnamed father of Miku and the husband of Miku's Mother. He has a stout build with thick eyebrows, sideburns, and a mustache, giving him a stern and traditional appearance. Despite his gruff exterior, he is a caring parent who genuinely wants what is best for his daughter. His primary motivation stems from his protective nature toward Miku, especially regarding her marriage to Tatsu, the former yakuza known as the Immortal Dragon. When Miku first introduced Tatsu to her parents, Miku's Father was visibly frightened and wary of Tatsu's intimidating presence and criminal past. However, over time, Tatsu's dedication to being a househusband and his obvious devotion to Miku gradually eased those concerns. Their relationship develops through small, bonding moments—most notably, when Miku's Father makes an effort to connect with Tatsu by playing a game of catch, a classic father‑son‑in‑law activity that demonstrates his willingness to accept Tatsu into the family. He appears infrequently in the story, usually alongside his wife during family visits, and his role is primarily that of a traditional father figure whose initial distrust gives way to grudging acceptance. His character does not undergo major development beyond this arc, and he has no special abilities or noteworthy skills. His presence serves to highlight Tatsu’s integration into ordinary family life despite his unusual past.
