Description
Hugan is one of twin brother antagonists characterized by pale skin and silver hair. He and his twin Mugan survived a difficult orphaned childhood stealing on streets and facing societal rejection for their NEXT abilities. Nicolai Brahe, an Ouroboros operative, rescued them from a gun-wielding restaurant owner, becoming their adoptive father after they expressed dissatisfaction with other Nemo Children. He provided acceptance and care.

Hugan's NEXT power absorbs kinetic energy, physical impacts, and non-damaging abilities like barriers or energy fields, converting them into amplified counterattacks proportional to the absorbed force. This makes him exceptionally difficult to defeat through direct assault. However, absorbing and releasing excessive energy inflicts severe physical damage, like broken bones, as his body cannot withstand the overload. Compelled by Ouroboros to fight heroes, both twins voluntarily consumed a power-amplifying drug from agent Sigourney Rosicky. This intensified Hugan's absorption capacity but worsened the physical repercussions.

Driven to surpass villain L.L. Audun's legacy of defeating 17 heroes, Hugan and Mugan targeted 36 heroes. After defeating 24, they attacked Stern Bild City specifically for its twelve active heroes. Their methods involved deliberate confrontations: they hospitalized Barnaby Brooks Jr. via an orchestrated explosion, taunted him during recovery, and left figurines of defeated heroes. They later petrified heroes like Fire Emblem and Sky High through coordinated attacks. During a fight with Dragon Kid and Origami Cyclone, Mugan feigned invisibility; Hugan later confirmed Mugan's true warping ability while downplaying his own to maintain surprise.

The twins exhibit childlike volatility, unpredictably shifting between playful teasing and lethal aggression. They frequently bicker, like when Mugan blamed Hugan for a strategic error, leading Mugan to sit out as "punishment." Their motivations blended personal ambition with loyalty to Nicolai; targeting heroes aimed to prove their worth to Ouroboros and protect Nicolai from retribution, showcasing genuine familial devotion amid violence.

In their final coliseum battle, heroes exploited Hugan's weakness. Drug side effects and repeated overloads shattered both his arms and one leg, yet he continued fighting using Mugan's gun for self-administered energy boosts. Their strategy failed when Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr. forcibly redirected Hugan's amplified attack against himself – a vulnerability since his power couldn't neutralize his own energy. This self-inflicted damage, compounding prior injuries, defeated him. Mortally wounded, Hugan and Mugan teleported to bid Nicolai farewell. Gregory Sunshine then executed them and Nicolai. Nicolai used his dying moments to deactivate his petrification power, restoring the petrified heroes before tenderly touching the twins' bodies.
