Description
Barnaby Brooks Jr., alias "Bunny," is a 27-year-old superhero wielding the NEXT ability "Hundred Power," granting temporary physical enhancements. Born October 31, NC 1953, his powers emerged at age two. By four, he survived the assassination of his parents—pioneering robotics engineers in nano-metal technology—orchestrated by family friend Albert Maverick, who later adopted Barnaby and falsified his memories to blame Ouroboros member Jake Martinez. This manipulation fueled Barnaby’s vengeful pursuit, shaping his early persona as a calculated, fame-oriented hero detached from emotional ties.

Paired with veteran hero Kotetsu Kaburagi (Wild Tiger), Barnaby’s rigid adherence to logic and competitive scoring clashed with Kotetsu’s intuitive, selfless style. Their turbulent partnership gradually forged mutual trust, mellowing Barnaby’s demeanor and refocusing his mission on civilian protection. A turning point arrived when defeating Jake exposed Maverick’s brainwashing, unraveling Barnaby’s fabricated memories of his parents’ deaths. The psychological collapse that followed was tempered by Kotetsu’s steadfast support and testimony from Samantha, his childhood nanny.

After Maverick’s downfall, Barnaby abandoned heroism, disillusioned, but rejoined following Kotetsu’s return as "Wild Tiger 1 Minute." Embracing Kotetsu’s affectionate "Bunny" moniker, he grew emotionally expressive, channeling his earnings into orphan support—a nod to his own fractured past.

Corporate reshuffling later thrust Barnaby into the First League alongside Golden Ryan, while Kotetsu languished in the disbanded Second League. Despite thriving professionally, Barnaby’s allegiance to Kotetsu spurred their reunion. During this estrangement, he cultivated a quiet passion for houseplants, mirroring his inward growth.

A permanent combat-induced knee injury exacerbated the agony of activating Hundred Power, compounding the strain of Kotetsu’s diminishing abilities. These physical tolls prompted Barnaby’s retirement from fieldwork. He pivoted to nanotechnology research, honoring his parents’ legacy, while mentoring emerging heroes.

Barnaby’s journey traces a path from isolated vengeance to vulnerable connection, his bond with Kotetsu evolving from rivalry into a partnership cemented by sacrifice and growth. Though later narratives shifted focus, his "King of Heroes" title persists, emblematic of tactical genius, tenacity, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
