TV-Series
Description
Originating from Sternbild City, Kotetsu T. Kaburagi is publicly known as the superhero Wild Tiger. A pivotal moment at age 10 defined his path when the veteran hero Mr. Legend rescued him during a bank robbery. This event awakened Kotetsu's latent NEXT ability, Hundred Power, amplifying his physical capabilities a hundredfold for five minutes, followed by a mandatory one-hour cooldown. Inspired by Mr. Legend's actions, Kotetsu dedicated himself to protecting others.

His high school years saw Kotetsu gain notoriety for fighting, culminating in a confrontation with gang leader and fellow NEXT Antonio Lopez. Kotetsu used his powers to rescue classmate Tomoe from a fire, solidifying his heroic commitment. Tomoe later became his wife and continued to inspire his ideals. They had one daughter, Kaede, before Tomoe died from an illness five years prior to the series. Kotetsu still wears his wedding ring in her memory.

Joining Hero TV as Wild Tiger, Kotetsu earned the nickname "Crusher for Justice" due to frequent collateral damage. His traditional values—prioritizing civilian safety over sponsor ratings—made him unpopular with the public, sponsors, and colleagues. He concealed his superhero identity from Kaede, who lived with his mother in Oriental Town and resented his absences.

Forced into partnership with rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr. by employer Apollon Media, Kotetsu initially clashed with him. Their dynamic evolved during the investigation into Ouroboros, the syndicate behind Barnaby's parents' murder. Kotetsu played a decisive role in defeating antagonist Jake Martinez, cementing their trust. Ten months later, their popularity surged, but Kotetsu experienced erratic power fluctuations during a concert incident. Medical tests revealed his Hundred Power was irreversibly fading, its duration dwindling steadily to under four minutes. Facing retirement, he returned to Oriental Town but chose to continue heroism despite his limitations.

After defeating Albert Maverick, Kotetsu briefly retired. He returned a year later as "Wild Tiger 1 Minute," joining the Second League to train new heroes. His power continued degrading. During the Justice Day Festival crisis (*The Rising*), corporate restructuring led to his dismissal. Later, battling antagonist L.L. Audun, Gregory Sunshine's ability overloaded Kotetsu's Hundred Power, causing it to burn out permanently. With his NEXT abilities gone, he retired from active duty.

Throughout his career, Kotetsu maintained a code of self-sacrifice and integrity, often disregarding orders to save lives. He reconciled with Kaede after she learned his identity and served as a mentor to younger heroes. His partnership with Barnaby evolved into profound mutual respect, influencing both heroes' growth.
