Born Wendel Luís Bezerra da Silva on June 18, 1974, in São Paulo, he began his career in entertainment at a very young age, first appearing in a theater production at four years old and starting his dubbing work at eight. Bezerra's career is defined by a remarkable range and a deep connection to several signature roles. This long-standing role has made him a cultural icon for generations of Brazilian anime fans. Equally iconic is his portrayal of SpongeBob SquarePants in the Brazilian dub of the long-running Nickelodeon series, a performance that earned him the Prêmio Yamato (considered the "Oscar of dubbing" in Brazil) for Best Lead Dubbing Actor in 2009.

In the realm of anime, his voice is also widely recognized as Vinsmoke Sanji, the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates, in the long-running series One Piece. He has voiced the character in all the franchise's films, specials, and even in the Portuguese dubbing of the live-action Netflix adaptation. Kaburagi / Wild Tiger in Tiger & Bunny 2, Jin Hazama in The Relative Worlds, Metabee in Medarot Damashii, Hikaru Matsuyama in Captain Tsubasa J, and Speed Racer in Speed Racer X. He also provided voices for characters in legendary series such as Os Cavaleiros do Zodíaco (Knights of the Zodiac), Akira, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. He took over the role of Jorge (Shin Mouri) in Legendary Armor Samurai Troopers.

Beyond anime, Bezerra's versatility is demonstrated by his work dubbing numerous Hollywood actors, including Edward Norton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser, and Robert Pattinson. His voice can also be heard in major film franchises, such as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. His work extends to video games as well, with notable performances as Lee Sin in League of Legends, Markus in Detroit: Become Human, and characters in the Naruto and Knights of the Zodiac games.

Following the closure of the Álamo studio where he worked, Bezerra and his brother Ulisses founded their own dubbing studio, Unidub, in 2011. He serves as the studio's CEO, directing dubbing for various productions and overseeing the studio's operations. He is also an active educator in the field, having founded the Universidade de Dublagem (Dubbing University) to train new professionals. A beloved figure at anime conventions, he maintains a popular YouTube channel where he discusses the dubbing industry and connects with fans, further solidifying his status as one of the most influential and cherished voice actors in Brazil.
